"The Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit (MSED) has honored John Brennan, CSM Worldwide’s vice president of global business development, with its prestigious Platinum Award. MSED presents the Platinum Award to a single individual who has been instrumental in successfully marketing and selling a new product or service,
or marketing an existing product or service to a new market.
Brennan was recognized for his work in helping to reposition CSM from a forecasting firm to a strategic advisory firm. His leadership of CSM's business development group has been a major factor in the firm's average annual growth of 25 percent. Brennan also has been instrumental in developing and launching CSM's closed-loop commercial management (CLCM) program,
a service that enhances automotive supplier business functions and results in considerable cost savings.
"John's passion and thought leadership regarding best practices in the automotive supplier business make his efforts unique," said Craig Cather, president and CEO of CSM Worldwide. "Today’s challenging automotive market puts tremendous pressure on supplier margins.
John’s approach helps enhance supplier sustainability by improving profitability while systematically reducing risk and uncertainly."
Brennan is responsible for global revenue, new customer acquisitions, overseeing company marketing strategies and developing CSM's strategic value proposition. He joined CSM in December 2001, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in automotive supplier marketing and e-business software technologies. Brennan graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing.
